The renowned jazz pianist, singer and arranger Dominic Alldis brings two exciting trios to Music at Stow. The first trio will celebrate pioneers of classical-jazz fusion:

Jacques Loussier, Dave Brubeck and the Modern Jazz Quartet, featuring arrangements of classical themes by Bach, Fauré, Ravel, Satie, Tchaikovsky, Dvorák, Bizet and Chopin.

 

After the interval, the second trio will feature jazz guitarist Colin Oxley and celebrate legendary singer-jazz pianists: Nat Cole, Ray Charles, Shirley Horn and Blossom Dearie. They will play a selection of classic jazz standards by Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Jerome Kern and

Michel Legrand.

MUSIC AT STOW was founded in 2014 and is based in Stow-on-the-Wold in the heart of the Cotswolds, in rural Gloucestershire.

It hosts an annual music festival each September, along with standalone events during the year, presenting world-class artists from every genre including classical, jazz, blues & classic bands from the sixties.

Concerts are staged in the historic 12th century church of St Edward's and in the characerful town hall set in the centre of the picturesque market square. With the cities of Cheltenham & Oxford nearby, and easy access by road & rail, the festival has attracted visitors from far and wide,
